Frango’s The Secrets In The Sauce

Frangos, Marbella, Chicken BBQ, Restaurant

The Secret’s in the Sauce Recently opened on the edge of Marbella‘s beautiful Old Town, Frango’s is a great new restaurant serving tasty chicken and meats freshly prepared on the grill in the open plan kitchen.

Inside the restaurant has long tables and a stylish and bright look and there’s a large TV perfect for catching up on the sport – and something tells us that Frango’s is going to be extremely  busy when the European Championships start in summer.

It’s a non table service venue, meaning that you place your order at the bar and are given a number, take your drink, help yourselves to plates and cultery and grab a place to sit. When your order is ready, Frango’s staff bring it to you. The menu features burgers and wraps, as well as free range chicken. Vegetarians are also well catered for with a range of tasty dishes. Starters include freshly made Argentinean style empanadillas, deep fried camembert, and the classic quiche lorraine. Children have their own “Frangensteins” menu as well and there’s also outside seating on the shaded terrace. Mains include either a whole or half free range chicken, as well as superbly succullent ribs and a daily special.Frangos Marbella

All of the mains are brilliant value at under €10. Frango’s also offer a Mixed Grill at €15 and a Family Pack, also at €15. Owners Celso and Jorge are well known in Marbella, (bordering on infamous) and Frango’s has already been a big hit with the locals. As they say “The Secret’s in the Sauce” and the Jack Daniels BBQ, Peri Peri Hot, Perneaise and Honey Mustard sauces are brilliant. Great food, great value and a great vibe.

  1. Larry Jazzz and I ate here a couple of weeks ago and had the mixed grill. I especially enjoyed the ribs. Celso was his usual charming self and encouraged us to try the many home made sauces which go with the meats. One of them blew my head off it was very hot!! We will return here for a meat feast with the lovely salads he serves.
