Home Bar Marbella Christmas Party in Aid of Cudeca
Regulars at a Marbella watering hole, The Home Bar, swapped the bar for a paddle tennis court to help raise 3,500 euros for Cudeca.
Over the last year dozens of players have been competing against each other every Sunday, come rain or shine at the Paco de Cantos sports facility in the centre of Marbella
The regulars, who all drink at Home Bar, just behind the lighthouse in Marbella, all paid a weekly subscription which was donated to the charity last Friday night (December 21st) during a Christmas party.
Around 60 people attended the event, which was organised by the bar’s ex pat owners Gerry and Rosie McGovern and saw hundreds raised from raffle tickets during the night.
Three Trophies were presented at the end of the evening, the Richard Murphy Trophy went to Enda Mahony for Most Improved Player, The Paul Doyle Trophy went to Robert van Kessel for the Best Player, and as token for his hard work selling an amazing amount of raffle tickets, Leonard from CDS Dental Clinic was awarded a crystal trophy for his waiting room[ims-gallery id=IaIIXr5zpxFw layout=slideshow number=all linkto=file]
