Marbella Kasser Rassu the inviting art gallery on the Golden Mile opposite the Marbella Club opened it’s doors for the first exhibition of 2012.
As always with any event in the Kasser Rassu gallery it seemed like the whole of Marbella decided to go look at some art that same evening and the gallery was milling with people.
Shahed Kavousi of Kasser Rassu always makes sure that everyone feels welcome and understands the concept of the exhibition. If I had a home gallery in the same way as one might have a home bar.. It would for sure be Kasser Rassu.
The artist Giordano Vaquero Campo was the first artist of the year at Kasser Rassu showcasing abstract work with different materials. I think most of it was based on oil but some of the paintings were like collages with fabric and iron, but I might be wrong about the materials. I particularly liked the ones where he had dried up paint to make it look like a cracked desert ground. Probably using a lot of terpentine in thick layers of paint and then let the work sit until it cracked. Vaquero Campo’s pieces were very well balanced colour wise. Check his work out at Kasser Rassu!
