His photographs have appeared on the cover and in all editions of ’The 200 Best Advertising Photographers of the World’, covering topics such as automotive, transport, energy, lighting, food and beverage or hospitality. His images have been published in the most prestigious annual Communication Arts, Photo Graphis, Lürzer’s Archive and many more.

Moreover, Karsten invites us to contemplate fascinating architecture of several centuries and sites worldwide, including some about Qatar and Dubai; wild beaches where strange relic of civilization appear; giant abandoned industrial developments; lonesome ports or landscapes of incredible beauty and magic that seem to been taken from a fairy tale.Karsten’s personal perspective of space and forms recall us descriptive and realistic scenarios that nevertheless pull the viewer into a timeless ambience which is disconcerting at a time. With his incredible mastery of digital art, Karsten manages to create very sublime, surprising effects. He knows perfectly how to represent solitude, melancholy, drama, mystery and  serene silence and surprises us sometimes with totally absurd and surreal situations as is the case in the image of a herd of zebras crossing hastily the big avenue that passes in front of the famous Victory Column in Berlin, or a car from the early 20th century parked on a dyke and a man heading for the mountain chain that appears in the background.

Red Penguin Art Gallery Marbella will show a selection of the work of this exceptional photographer which best expresses the ‘serene silence’.
